Members of the °ÅÀÖÊÓÆµ Board of Trustees have a responsibility for strategic guidance in ensuring the university’s success by providing experience, personal financing, and access to other resources that support the President’s ability to drive programming for Tuskegee students to accomplish their academic goals and ultimately career success.
The °ÅÀÖÊÓÆµ Board of Trustees is accepting nominations for an elected alumni Trustee position. The alumni Trustee will serve a three-year term on the Board.
The Board is comprised of up to 25 voting members, which includes five Trustees appointed by the Alabama governor. Board-appointed Trustees serve for three years, and state-appointed Trustees serve for four years. There are several nonvoting ex-officio members, including the President, a faculty Trustee, who is the faculty senate chair, a student Trustee elected by the student body, and Alabama’s state superintendent of education.
Nominations will be accepted until midnight July 11, 2025. The process includes the nomination phase, review of applications by the Ad Hoc Committee on Alumni Trustee elections, selection of six candidates to be considered by the Nominating and Board Structure Committee, then a recommendation of three candidates that alumni will be able to vote on via email.
