What Public Safety Requirements do Attendees Need to Know About?

• CLEAR BAG REQUIREMENT -- In the interest of public safety, all venues will adhere to a clear bag requirement for all Commencement Ceremonies.

Is the Spring听Commencement open to the public?

• No tickets are required for the Graduate and Professional Programs Commencement.
• However, Tickets are required for the Undergraduate Programs Commencement for everyone two years old and above.to enter the Chappie James Arena.
• No tickets are required for overflow locations (The Chapel, Logan, Hall, and the Tent听beside Chappie James Center).

As a Prospective Graduate, when is the deadline to register to graduate in the Spring 2025听Graduation?听听

• The Deadline was September 2024

As a Prospective Graduate, if I missed applying for Spring 2025听Graduation, can I still participate in Commencement?听听

If I do not participate in the Commencement Ceremony, will I still graduate and receive my degree?听听

• Yes. All students who have been academically and financially cleared will receive their degree.听

How many tickets will each Prospective Graduate/Graduate receive?听听

• Undergraduate Programs students will receive SIX (6)听tickets. No tickets will be needed for the Graduate and Professional Programs Commencement. See ticket information below.

How do I get tickets to attend?听听(Updated)

For the Graduate and Professional Programs Commencement:听

• No tickets are required for guests听to enter the Chappie James Arena.
• No tickets will be issued to Graduate and Professional Programs students.
• No tickets are required for the overflow locations (The Chapel, Logan Hall, and the Tent听beside the Chappie James Center).

For the Undergraduate Programs Commencement:

• Tickets will be required to enter the Chappie James Arena.
• Tickets to enter Chappie James Arena are required for everyone two years old and above.
• No tickets are required for the overflow locations (The Chapel, Logan Hall, and the Tent听beside the Chappie James Center).
• Tickets will be distributed听on Thursday, May 8, from 1:30pm--5:30pm at the Logan Hall Ticket Windows.
• For Graduating Students who could not pick up their tickets on Thursday, the alternative day to pick up tickets is听Friday, May 9th from 4pm--6pm at Logan Hall.
• Graduating Students must have a parking pass which will be provided with the tickets (must show your ID to pick up tickets and parking pass).听 On Commencement Day, Graduating Students will enter campus via the Farm Road gate.

Will the Commencement Ceremony be Live-Streamed?听听

• Yes. Each Commencement Exercise will be Live-Streamed on the University鈥檚 .

Will the Campus Bookstore be open on Commencement Day?

• The Campus Bookstore will be open听on the Friday before each commencement (tentatively 9am - 5pm). It will also be open on Commencement Day, May 3听and May 10听(tentatively 10am-3pm).

What are the Parking and Shuttle Guidelines for Commencement?听听(Updated)

• Parking for Graduating Students on May 10 鈥� Students must have a parking pass which will be provided with tickets, along with showing their ID. They will enter campus via the Farm Road gate.

• Parking for Attendees with ADA Accomodations 鈥� These Attendees may enter campus via the Lincoln Gates (must have plackard visible)听to go and drop off their guest. Any person who accompanies them must have a ticket to enter the arena. Both people must have a ticket. Then they can proceed to ADA parking as listed on the campus map.

  General public attendees should听park at B.T.W. High School and catch the Shuttle to campus.

What arrangements have been made for ADA Accessibility?

• Sections are available in the Chappie听James Center for individuals with any ADA issues. Graduating students听should inform appropriate University personnel in advance of any special needs of family members or guests. Please call 615-604-1225.
• Designated ADA parking will be ibeside Chappie James Center near the airplane. The circle in front of the Chappie James Center is for Emergency vehicles and ADA drop-off only.听These Attendees may enter campus via the Lincoln Gates (must have placard visible)听to go and drop off their guest. Any person who accompanies them must have a ticket to enter the arena. Both people must have a ticket. Then they can proceed to ADA parking as listed on the campus map.听(Updated)
• Shuttle Service听will begin at 6:45am from B.T.W. High School.听

How do I know if I am eligible to participate in the Graduation Ceremony?听听

• To participate in the Graduation Ceremony all students must be FINANCIALLY AND ACADEMICALLY CLEARED.

• Ensure you pay your graduation Application fee and all monies owed to the University on or before:听听

What should I do if I am not receiving email updates/instructions about Spring Graduation听Ceremony?听听

• Contact the Office of Information Technology at 334-727-8040.

How will I receive my Diploma if I WILL NOT participate in the Graduation Ceremony?听听

• Send an email to registrar@tuskegee.edu and include your Name, ID#, Major, mailing address and a phone # where you can be reached. You should also state that you WILL NOT听be participating in Spring 2025听Graduation Ceremony.听

Can I have a friend collect my Diploma?听听

How will I know if I will receive Honors?听听

• Honors are awarded to Undergraduates and DVMs Only based on their Fall 2024听CGPA,听NOT Spring 2025.听听

• Honor Cord/Stoles will be distributed after Graduation Rehearsal from the Office of the Registrar鈥檚 Service Counter in Kresge Center 鈥� Please have your TU ID available for verification. We will mail upon request if you do not attend the Commencement.

• Honors (we do not round off CGPA)听听

  • Cum Laude: 3.25
  • Magna Cum Laude: 3.50听
  • Summa Cum Laude: 3.75听

Will I be recognized for Academic Honors at the Graduation Ceremony?听听

• Yes. The Honor will be called after your name is announced.
• Each Graduate will be provided with a Name Card which will include their major(s) and Academic Honor if applicable

What is the cost of the Cap and Gown Package?听听

• You can purchase your Cap and Gown from our Campus Bookstore. Please contact the Campus Bookstore at 334-727-8844 with additional questions.听听

Can I purchase my Cap and Gown from somewhere else other than the University鈥檚 Bookstore?听听

• No. The University Bookstore is the only authorized provider of the official academic regalia and the purchasing of Cap and Gowns from other sources is prohibited.听听

How can I obtain a copy of my Official Final Transcript with my Degree conferred?听听

• Access: 听听
• Cost: $11.75 per copy听听
• Advance request: Select 鈥淗old for posting of Degree鈥澨�听
• Graduates requesting Transcripts and/or Diplomas must be Academically and Financially Cleared.听听

When will my degree be noted on my Official Transcript?听听

• In general, within one week following Commencement the Office of the Registrar will post the Degree earned on students鈥� transcripts.

• Please do not order your transcript until 1 week after the Commencement Ceremony. If you order before it is likely that your Degree will NOT be posted to your final transcript and you will have to purchase another for $11.75

Can I have a friend pick up my transcript?听听

• No. Only you can pick up your transcript in person or have it mailed.听听

Do you have Transcript Request 鈥淪ame Day鈥� service?听听

• No. All (Electronic/In-Person) Transcripts are processed within 72 hours (about 3 days)听听
• The National Student Clearinghouse processes our Electronic Requests. The Office of the Registrar does not process electronic transcripts.听听

What if my name is spelled incorrectly on my Diploma?听听

• Return the original Diploma to the Office of the Registrar in-person or via mail (Certified Only): 芭乐视频 Office of the Registrar, 136 Kresge Center, Tuskegee, AL 36088听
• If your name was legally changed. Ex. Marriage 鈥� a copy of your Marriage Certificate is required.听听
• NB: Students had the opportunity to indicate the correct spelling of their names when they submitted their Graduation Application.听听

What happens if my name is not on the list of Graduates cleared to participate in Graduation?听听

• To prevent this occurrence, all students are required to check听听to determine their Clearance status prior to Rehearsal.听听

• Every effort will be made by the Office of the Bursar and Office of Registrar to ensure students who are eligible (Financially and Academically) are cleared the day prior to the Graduation Ceremony,听in a timely manner before Graduation Rehearsal and the actual Commencement Ceremony.

• We ask that all prospective Graduates assume the responsibility as noted below: Application fee and all monies owed to the University on or before.听听

  • Wednesday, April 23, 2025 for听Veterinary Medicine Students & Graduate Students听听
  • Wednesday, April 30, 2025 for听Undergraduates听听

What happens if my name is not in the Commencement Program?听听

• We apologize in advance for any inadvertent omission in the Commencement Program. To alleviate this problem the Office of the Registrar provided each Department Head/Dean with the list of all prospective graduates during the Fall after the Application Deadline and the latter Spring for review and update as deemed necessary.

• An updated electronic version of the Commencement Program will be available Online following Commencement.

How long is the Graduation Ceremony?听听

• Unknown currently. However, our commencement exercises usually last approximately three hours.听听
